Hmmm. For me, it is really hard to get really "obsesssed" with it.
It's because I make too many dang comparisons with this and other animes. Yes,
Zeliard, I agree with you. This does remind me of Hellsing. Studio Gonzo is
doing this anime, and it also did Hellsing...
As for the comparisons. The anime reminds me of a blend of Trigun and Hellsing.
Somehow I see a slight essence of Vash the Stampede in Abel Nightroad. And I'm
not much of a Vash fan. The clothing designs of the priests reminds me of
Edward Elric's clothing in Full Metal Alchemist..O.o Lol and Pope Alexander
reminds me of a character in Bleach. So yeah, I get distracted with these
things... I heard people say that this anime is also like a mix of Hellsing and
Chrono Crusade.
Anyways, I think the artwork in the anime is beautiful. I'm pretty sure this
anime will be more promising as the plot develops more.
This review seems pretty good. It was informative and spoliers weren't given
out.
i haven't seen the movie yet. i have the soundtrack. i love the music, it's
sounds pretty. true, this review probably needs punctuation and capitalization
(for formal things). aside from that, i found it informative.
Of all the animes that I have seen (which are mostly shounen genre), this is the
first mature anime that i've been exposed to. So...based on that, I think that
this anime was interesting...because the story was just 'new' to me.
Well...I can understand the annoyance of the 'fan service' presented in the
story. Some 'incidents' are not necessary to the show.
I probably would have given it a higher rating. But the rating just relects
the reviewer's preferences.
Hmm I think it is kinda early to write a review on this because there hasn't
been a lot of episodes out yet. The review provides information, and doesn't
include spoilers..but I don't feel like it is enough to assume that it is
automatically -that- good when we haven't been introduced to more characters and
plot (twists/enhancement).
i haven't even read the manga, but I don't know if it will follow along well
with it.
i agree that the stoyline is very original. I really like this anime because it
seems to have a fast plot to it. And in most episodes, there is something new to
find out. Hmmm I don't see some characters resembling Germens in the art. Oh
well, it's amusing when there is a random facial expression change among the
characters.
i probably would have given the sound a higher rating. Though these are just my
opinions because I happen to love somber and dramatic music. The music is quite
fitting because some of it sounds militaryish. (i'm not wording this well O.o)
I think Bratja (Brother) is sung by a Russian boys' choir...because I went on
this forum and a Russian guy happened to translate the song. But...I really
don't know for sure.
This review is well written and detailed (especially well clarified in the
'story' section --though there may have been a spoiler). (however, i would have
rated this higher than how you rated Naruto overall. ) Since you have seem more
anime than I have, I'll take your word that Fullmetal Alchemist presents a very
unique and original storyline than some animes. It is definately something new
to watch.
Some of the characters are cliche. The storylines drag out -too- long sometimes
and the 'flashbacks' are way overdone. It is really annoying when they do an
unecessary flashback of something that 's already happened in the episode.
Animation is definately not top notch. The animation is very inconsistant. For
instance, if you have been watching the recent episodes, some eyes (as in size
and style of eye design) are very different from the earlier episodes (and the
forehead metal is smaller) etc. Also, it has these 'unecessary fillers' that
really don't advance the plot .
Naruto does have some interesting intros and outro music/animation. I'm not
really into some of the music. Though I give it dibs on the variety. The voice
acting is good. I happen to like the some of the character clothing and setting
design. I think that the advanced bloodlines is creative, and Naruto does seem
to have a new twist to the ninja genre. The humor is amusing as well.
I would have rated the storyline lower than a 10, and I probably would have
given Naruto an overall rating of an 8. These are just my opinions. I
commend you for writing this review. I like how you backed up your ideas with
explanations. It is well thought out. I disagree with some ideas, though I
also agree on others (which I may have reiterated here).
Note: wow i feel like a complete hypocrite and contradictory towards myself
because my gallery has -hoards- of naruto stuff.
i saw spirited away, and i really enjoy it. i love the instrumental music. i
think the rating is fitting. your review is written quite well. it's very
descrpitive, and you pointed out many reasons why this movie is great.

I just finished watching the series. I thought it was good. (Though, I'm not into the 'fan service' and the large eyes that try to portray innocence.)
Your review was well written. It provides a lot of descriptive perspective.
DarkSephiroth made a good point about the opening and ending themes -- I hadn't made that connection before.

Naruto seems overhyped.
